Cairns is a great destination for local, interstate, and overseas couples who love the idea of a destination wedding with loads of choice. With a laid back feel, Cairns Weddings have so much to offer. The scenery for starters is amazing.
One of my favourite locations is Trinity Inlet. Once there you get a feeling of space and brilliant colour. The inlet is very wide and dotted up and down are boats from small dinghies to large mega yachts. As you look across the water to the mountains you get a feeling of grandeur. I never get tired of looking at those distant mountains and the golden light that shines on them in the late afternoon.
Cairns and the northern suburbs of Palm Cove and Trinity Beach have everything a tropical destination wedding could ask for, warm balmy evenings, palm tree lined beaches. There is an array of 5 star resorts, hotels and self catering accommodation. When you are hungry there are hundreds of restaurants, cafes and outdoor activities.
When it comes to your actual Cairns wedding, there are a great choices for your ceremony, photography and reception location. In fact you would think Cairns is a major Australian city given the choices on offer. We even have the only wedding chapel right on the beach in Australia.
When it’s time for your Cairns wedding photography, Posh Photography will take you to all the great Cairns locations. I have walked around the city a hundred times, scouting out the coolest photo spots, the nicest backgrounds and the best time of day.
How about we talk about the great Cairns Wedding photography locations…
Cairns is a very compact city and we often walk from photography location to location. This takes us from water views….
To romantic tree lined paths….
Through a funky city with its cool cafes, graffiti lined alleyways and stunning 5 star resorts….
But the fun does not stop there. Jump in your old hot rod and cruise out of the city centre. Within 10 minutes you will be in another world altogether. Old rustic buildings, cane fields and mountain streams. Try and do that in any other city. I’ve photographed all over Australia and the variety of wedding photos in Cairns Weddings are unmatched.
What makes me the proudest however, is the local wedding industry itself. I have not come across such a professional and dedicated industry as the Tropical North Queensland wedding industry. People here as SO helpful.
