REAL WEDDING – Candice and Kim
16th of August, 2014
Candace and Kim were originally from Townsville but moved to Cairns because they always thought it was a really nice and positive place.
On their first visit they both knew inside that if they ever got married it would be at the Hilton Chapel located by Trinity Inlet in the grounds of the Hilton Hotel in Cairns.
Candace and Kim have now moved to Canberra for work, but we have a feeling we will see them back in Cairns one day. 🙂
Ceremony : Hilton Chapel by South Pacific Bridal
Celebrant : Megan Gallagher; salvation army, Townsville
Reception : Hilton Hotel, Cairns
What is one of your fondest memories of your special day?
Not trying to suck up but….the photos between the ceremony and reception….because we didn’t have a bridal party it was a really nice time to be with each other and enjoy the absolute beginning of this new chapter with casual photos taken.
Best piece of advice for a destination wedding.
Have a destination wedding somewhere you have already shared good holiday memories with your other half, this way it will be more special to have some familiarity with the place, and be happy to go back in years to come to remember your wedding day.
What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?
Having it somewhere we were semi familiar with, where we already had past memories, we like the destination so much we actually moved there prior to our wedding, and left about a month after our wedding, but cannot wait to go back and visit time and time again.
