The tropical north of Australia is unique to our world.
In this ancient location, two of the world’s heritage listed, natural treasures meet. The planet’s oldest rainforest, the Daintree rainforest, meets the Great Barrier Reef. The scenery is stunning and couples from all over the world flock to the region for the most romantic, beautiful and relaxed wedding imaginable.
I’m grateful to photograph weddings all over the Tropical North Queensland region. From the islands off Mission Beach in the south, to the stunning central areas of Cairns and Palm Cove. The beauty of this tropical paradise continues north to Port Douglas, Mossman and the Daintree. The scenery in your wedding photos will be worthy of a postcard or calendar.

Cairns is a great destination for local, interstate, and overseas couples who love the idea of a destination wedding with loads of choice. With a laid back feel, Cairns Weddings have so much to offer. The scenery for starters is amazing.
One of my favourite locations is Trinity Inlet. Once there you get a feeling of space and brilliant colour. The inlet is very wide and dotted up and down are boats from small dinghies to large mega yachts. As you look across the water to the mountains you get a feeling of grandeur. I never get tired of looking at those distant mountains and the golden light that shines on them in the late afternoon.
Picture yourself marrying under the palm trees with the sound of gentle waves coming in behind you. That is Palm Cove.
The tranquil beach front village of Palm Cove provides a stunning backdrop of the Coral Sea on one side and a rainforest clad mountains on the other. Palm Cove has many wedding ceremony locations to choose from including a beautiful wedding chapel and numerous beaches or tropical garden locations.
Palm Cove is the jewel of Far North Queensland and a destination wedding location to rival anything in the south Pacific.
Where do I begin. Port Douglas is my second home and I have photographed hundreds of weddings there. Port Douglas Weddings are always fun and include the beautiful scenery of the Daintree rainforest in the distance. Many of my Port Douglas Weddings have also been in the quaint St Marys by the Sea wedding chapel.
When it comes to great wedding photo locations, there are more around Port Douglas then there is time to visit. We have beaches, cane fields, rainforest, streams, old train tracks and the most amazing light! Everything you need for perfect a Port Douglas Wedding is just a short drive from the centre of town.
Port Douglas has the charm of a laid back seaside village and the sophistication of a modern resort town. It’s only an hour north of Cairns and you are in for an amazing treat as you drive to Port Douglas along the Captain Cook Highway. A spectacular coastal drive with rainforest clad mountains on one side and the Coral Sea on the other.
